Perspective Shift: Student Edition预览

Philippians 2:7-8 paints a vivid picture of Jesus' humility and servant heart. He left the comfort and glory of heaven to become a servant on Earth. He traded a world of perfection for this one of imperfection, all to extend His hands to us. Jesus took the place of servanthood. He was the ultimate Servant Leader. He looked past Peter's impulsiveness and Paul's rage, loving them and believing the best in them. He released them into their dreams, even at great personal cost. Jesus carried this commitment all the way to the cross, enduring pain and suffering for our sake. Sometimes, being a Dream Releaser is inconvenient and even painful. Are you willing to extend your hands to help others–even if it costs you? Jesus did it for you–can you do it for someone else?
- Recite this week's memory verse: "Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each person esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others" (Philippians 2:3-4, NKJV).
- How have you extended your hand to help others in the past?
- What personal sacrifices might you have to make to become a Dream Releaser for someone around you?
