What things in your life do you spend a lot of your time, energy, and attention on? Your friends, your relationship, your possessions, your talents? Oftentimes without even realizing it, we direct our time, energy, and attention toward so many things other than God. And when we put those things first, we are giving them the worship that only God deserves. Even though those things may not be bad, they still shouldn’t hold the top spot in our lives. Only God is great enough for that much of our time, energy, and attention!

This week, pay attention to what you give the most of your time, energy, and attention to. Are they distracting you from following and worshiping God? What changes might you need to make to focus on God’s greatness instead?
