God and His Word预览

Have you got a favourite author? Whenever a new book comes out that they’ve written, you just can’t wait to get your hands on it. The front cover says the book's title, then “Written by…” and that person’s name. The Bible has over 40 different authors, but it's God’s words. The Bible is called “The Word of God” because it’s His words; he wrote it! God used faithful people, who He inspired, to write the different books of the Bible.

God’s Word is true. It is our foundation for what we believe. What God says in His Word about you is true. God’s promises for you in His Word are true. God’s forgiveness for us through Jesus is true. God’s Word is the truth that gives us a strong foundation for us to build our lives on. When we know what IS true, we can easily see what’s NOT true.

The Bible was written for YOU. Some people describe the Bible as a love letter written by God to you to show you how much He loves you.

The Bible gives us wisdom for everyday life and applies to every part of our life. Just like we need to eat food every day to be nourished and sustained, we need to eat God’s Word every day. I believe God’s Word is true.
