God Is Looking for You FIRST!

Watch the video for today, and then follow up with these questions to discuss or journal.

1. To seek and find God and know His presence in our daily lives, we first need to understand that He was looking for us – first! 1 John 4:19 tells us that we love God because He first loved us! God loves you so much! What are some of the ways that God has shown His love for us?

2. Because of the wrong things we do, we were separated from God and the only way for us to be close to God was to be forgiven for the wrong things we do. Somebody needed to take the punishment for our sins and that person was Jesus. How did Jesus take the punishment for our sins?

3. Now that Jesus has taken the punishment for our sins, we can be forgiven! To receive this gift, what do we have to do? (Read: John 3:16)

4. Luke 19:10 tells us that Jesus came to seek and save the lost. Jesus wants everybody to know His great love for them. Both God and Jesus' biggest desire, is that we would know His love and love Him in return. He wants to be close to you far more than you could ever want to be close to Him because He loves you without limits! How can you show God that you love Him in return?

Pray: Today is a great day to talk to God by praying, inviting Him into your life to be your King, and saying out loud that you believe in Jesus and that He died and rose again to save you. Then you will carry God’s presence everywhere you go! If you would like to do that, why don’t you say this prayer:

“Dear God, I thank you that you love me so much you sent your son Jesus to take the punishment for my sins. I believe that Jesus died and rose again so that I can be close to you. I ask you to come into my heart to be my King and my saviour, Amen.”
