### Marriage is a picture of Christ’s love for believers The apostle Paul writes about the role of husband and wife in marriage. In summary, every husband is to love his wife as himself, and every wife should respect her husband and submit to him. That’s not always easy to do, but it’s easy enough to grasp. However, this is not just about marriage. All this is a “mystery” that “refers to Christ and the church” (Ephesians 5:32).
