### What Is Hell Like? Hell is a very real place. Even though we don’t know exactly where it is, the Bible does talk about what it’s like there. Hell is a place for people who decide not to commit their lives to God. They don’t accept God’s forgiveness for their sin. So when they die, they will be punished in hell. The Bible says that hell is a place of fire that never goes out (Matthew 25:41). The people who go there will suffer day and night. Jesus once told a story of a rich man who went to hell. Even though he asked for help, no one could give it to him (Luke 16:22-26). The worst part about hell is that everyone there will be separated from God forever. They will never have another chance to have a relationship with Him because they chose to ignore Him when they were alive. People who follow Jesus don’t have to worry about going to hell. God has promised that they will go to heaven to be with Him when they die.
