Love God Greatly - Galatians

40天中的第19天

Paul describes the purpose of the law. The law is described as a tutor that would show people their need for Christ by showing them their sin. After we have been shown Jesus Christ and He has been given to us through faith, the law is no longer needed. What are some common Christian rules that you find yourself trying to add to the gospel of grace? Father God, I thank You that Your plan is so simple…only one way…through faith in Jesus! Once we confess, believe, and receive the gift of righteousness from You, all we do is walk in that knowledge. Simple. Yet Lord, I need Your help with even the simple things. Comfort me and draw me back to You when I doubt Your salvation. Convict me when I add rules and burdens to my Christian walk or impose rules on another’s walk. I thank You for freedom in You, Lord. Freedom from having to earn my way to You, freedom from sin, freedom from guilt, freedom from condemnation, freedom from the penalty of sin, freedom from the power of sin, and eventually...freedom from the presence of sin. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Love God Greatly - Galatians

We are going to experience Paul’s exhortation to the young Christians in Galatia (also meant for us) telling them that all that is necessary – all they need – is the gospel… the good news. Tim Keller says, “The gospel – the message that we are more wicked than we ever dared believe, but more loved and accepted in Christ than we ever dared hope – creates a radical new dynamic for personal growth, for obedience, for love.” And that makes our hearts sing! Galatians summarizes the gospel and what it means to our hearts. This, friends, is life changing.
