In the gospel of Matthew, there is a story of Jesus peacefully sleeping through a frightening storm while the disciples essentially freak out. The story goes that Jesus arose and asked them “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" (Matthew 8:26, NIV) Paul will face a similar fear of perilous weather on the seas, and yet he never questions God. As you read today, look for the similarities between Jesus’ calm through the storm and Paul’s trust in God through every obstacle.
