Ní ọjọ́ keji, ọjọ́ tí ó tẹ̀lé ọjọ́ ìpalẹ̀mọ́ àjọ̀dún, àwọn olórí alufaa ati àwọn Farisi wá sọ́dọ̀ Pilatu. Wọ́n ní, “Alàgbà, a ranti pé ẹlẹ́tàn nì sọ nígbà tí ó wà láàyè pé lẹ́yìn ọjọ́ mẹta òun óo jí dìde. Nítorí náà, pàṣẹ kí wọ́n ṣọ́ ibojì náà títí di ọjọ́ kẹta. Bí a kò bá ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀, àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ lè wá jí òkú rẹ̀ lọ, wọn yóo wá wí fún àwọn eniyan pé, ‘Ó ti jinde kúrò ninu òkú.’ Ìtànjẹ ẹẹkeji yóo wá burú ju ti àkọ́kọ́ lọ.” Pilatu bá dá wọn lóhùn pé, “Ṣebí ẹ ní olùṣọ́. Ẹ lọ fi wọ́n ṣọ́ ibojì náà bí ó ti tọ́ lójú yín.” Wọ́n bá lọ, wọ́n sé ẹnu ibojì náà, wọ́n fi èdìdì sí ara òkúta tí wọ́n gbé dí i. Wọ́n sì fi àwọn olùṣọ́ sibẹ pẹlu.
