Jesus sends out His disciples with the authority to heal and cast out demons. His instructions required complete reliance on God and not on themselves.

We prefer relying on ourselves. Relying on anyone else, including God, somehow seems weak. But when compared to God, we are weak. There is nothing better for us to rely on than God.
