So You Think You're Not Good Enough?Örnek
I am not worthy
OK, so let’s get it out there right up front. No one, in and of themselves, is worthy. The scripture tells us as much.
“…"None is righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10)
If you just listened to that scripture, then all of those people (yourself included) who say that you aren’t worthy might be onto something.
But taking one scripture out of context is a recipe for disaster.
Everyone starts from the same starting point. You, me, your pastor or priest, the twelve Apostles, Paul, name anyone you like, and they all started from that point where “None is righteous.”
But you, like those righteous people of old, have not stayed there. You have moved forward by coming to and walking with Christ and have been made worthy by God.
We can’t make ourselves worthy, but God makes us worthy. That is exactly what He did when you came to Christ and believed in the power of His death and resurrection to save you from sin.
You are a new creation in Christ. A creation that has been made worthy because God made you worthy.
“This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be made worthy of the kingdom of God” (2 Thessalonians 1:5)
But you may ask, how has God made you worthy? After describing an array of sins and sinners in the Corinthian church, Paul had this to say:
“And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.” (1 Corinthians 6:11)
Like them, “such were some of you/us.” We had lived lives of unworthiness prior to coming to Christ, but like them we also have been washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of Jesus our Lord. And if you aren’t sure what it means to be sanctified and justified, it means to be made holy like God and to be made righteous like Christ Jesus.
This is the free gift of God when you became a new creation in Jesus Christ. To be holy and righteous is to be worthy, not because of anything we do, but because God has declared it so.
Call to Action:
Anytime you feel you are unworthy of the kingdom of God, remember that you have already been made worthy. You are already washed, sanctified, and justified in Christ Jesus, and you are a child of God.

Have you ever thought, “I’m not good enough?” What about any of these other thoughts? I’m not worthy of being a Christian. Other people are better Christians than I am. I’m the worst sinner ever. God could never forgive what I have done. God isn’t listening to my prayers. These are attacks of the devil. This plan will show how to defeat them all and more.
