## JESUS DOESN’T GIVE UP > “He went away a second time and prayed, ‘My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.’” MATTHEW 26:42 > RECITE GOD’S GOODNESS Compassionate Jesus, though Your disciples failed to watch and pray with You, You continued praying for them and loving them to the end. I praise You that You don’t give up on us, despite the ways we fail; You continue to show us Your steadfast, persevering, never-stopping love. EXPRESS YOUR NEEDINESS My love is often fickle, based on how I feel each day or how others respond to me. Would You pour Your love into my heart? Fill me with Your love supernaturally, a love that exceeds human limitations, moods, and feelings, that I would love those around me with the love of Christ in me. SEEK HIS STILLNESS Become aware of God’s great love for you in Jesus—a love that never gives up on you. Be still with Him. TRUST HIS FAITHFULNESS O Father, You invite me to continue steadfastly in prayer, as Jesus told His disciples. Thank You that You do not grow tired of my prayers. You never give up on me; even when I fail, You are there listening, welcoming me to come to You. Father, I lay my burdens at Your feet today. I trust You. These prayers can be prayed any time of year but can provide guided prayer during Lent.
