# Day 25 - Be’er Sheva Be’er Sheva means the well of the oath. Abraham made an oath here with Abimelech of Gerar in Genesis 21:22-31. God was fulfilling his promises to Abraham to protect him and his family as he wandered in a foreign land. Ultimately, God’s promise to Abraham that through his descendants all nations would be blessed (Genesis 18:9-15) is a reminder that God remembered and protected his people. From this lineage would one day come a Savior who would bring ultimate peace to the hearts of mankind. Christmas is not possible without God’s promises to Abraham.
