As you read today consider this: For our sake, God was crucified.

This is why He came. He laid down upon the cross, extended His arms, and allowed soldiers to hammer spikes through His wrists and ankles. In physical agony, He was lifted up. The Son of God was crucified. There He was in our place. This is why He came.
