Philippians 2:14-16 says, “Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, ‘children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.’ Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.” As a Christian, you’re called to be set apart, to be different. Paul says that not grumbling or arguing will set you apart, like stars in the night sky. Are there areas in your life that you can replace grumbling and arguing with positivity and unity today? Does that thought excite you? Or perhaps make you uncomfortable? Talk to God about that now. As today’s scripture has encouraged us to do, take a moment now to choose to hold firmly to God’s word of life today. Lord Jesus, we choose You today. Set us apart. Make us like You. And may we shine like stars in the world around us today. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
