Your Breakthrough Year | Don’t Live the Same Year Twice!

DAY 4 OF 10

A Better Year, Every Year

When I think back to the young woman who failed out of college, felt lost in life, and didn’t even have enough to pay my cellphone bill or put gas in my car—it feels crazy. Because every year since then has gotten better and better, and I’ve stopped living the same year twice by walking in vision and faith.

Vision is all throughout the Bible—and no, I’m not just talking about seeing visions—I mean having a clear vision for your life. When I didn’t know where I was headed, I wandered aimlessly. I’d be at the next party, the next bar, just drifting. But when I got vision, things inside me began to change. I started taking faith-filled steps instead of staying stuck. With vision came Godly confidence, because I knew: “If God is for me, who can be against me?”

Every year I’ve had vision has been better than the last, because I finally have a target, a destination. Imagine a ship leaving the dock with no destination—it drifts aimlessly and ends up anywhere. That was my life, which is why I kept living the same year twice. But with vision, with a destination in mind, the ship doesn’t drift. No matter how long it takes, it reaches its destination.

Reflection:

Have you been feeling like a ship that left the dock with no destination? Maybe there was a season when you had vision, but now it feels like you’ve lost it. Don’t worry—take a moment to think about where you want to see yourself a year from now, and start charting your course.

About this Plan

Your Breakthrough Year | Don’t Live the Same Year Twice!

Have you ever looked up and thought, “Wait… I’ve done this before”? Like you’ve found yourself in the same place, doing the same things, repeating the same patterns? Maybe year after year, goals slip by, progress stalls, and it feels like another replay of the year before. This devotional is designed to help you break that cycle, stop living the same year twice, and finally step into a breakthrough year. And honestly, I don’t think it’s a coincidence that you’re here. You’re ready for change.
