1 Timothy 2:5 reminds us that no priest, pastor, or leader stands between you and God. Through Christ, every believer has direct access to the Father.
This truth sets Christianity apart from man-made religion. Access to God is not gained through ritual or human authority, but only through Jesus Christ alone. He is the mediator who opened the way by His sacrifice on the cross.
Because of this, we should go to God with boldness in prayer. You can speak to Him directly, knowing that Christ intercedes on your behalf.
A strong church is filled with believers who daily use their access to God by praying through Jesus Christ!
