Begin a prayer list. As God commands us to pray about anything and everything, we would greatly benefit by remembering what to pray for. One of the best ways to remember something is to write it down or type it out.
Keep a list of things to remember to pray for. Also, keep a list of things you have promised other people that you would pray for. Additionally, keeping a list of prayer requests allows you to write when prayers have been answered! This can be an encouragement during times of discouragement.
A prayer list can be a valuable tool, but make sure it does not cause your prayers to resemble the "vain repetition" Jesus warned about in Matthew 6:7.
It is beneficial to invest in a journal or a digital way to keep track of your and others’ prayer requests. Leave room to record when and how God answered that prayer request!
