Beware of hindrances to prayer. The Bible shows us specific ways our prayers can be hindered. One hindrance to prayer is when we have unconfessed sin in our lives.
Although sin does not make us lose our salvation, it can still harm our closeness with God. Much like a disobedient child may have a strained relationship with his parents but is still their child, a child of God can have a strained relationship with God but still be saved. The disobedient child is still in the family, but he has grieved his father. May we not grieve God in this way.
Examine your heart for a few moments. Is there anything that you are not being 100% honest with God about? What do you need to ask His forgiveness for today?
