Following a general guide during our prayer time will help us to keep our prayer lives full and sincere. One helpful guide in our prayer time is an acrostic of the word ACTS:
- A- Adoration: Praise God for who He is; magnify the Lord and sing His praises.
- C - Confession: Freely confess your sins before God and ask Him to help you recall any sins that have not been dealt with. Ask His forgiveness and help in keeping far from sin.
- T - Thanksgiving: Thank God for His abundant blessings and answers to our prayers.
- S - Supplication: Bring your and others’ requests before the Lord, whether the requests are big or small.
Practice using the ACTS acrostic during your prayer time today. It may help you not to forget anything you want to talk to God about and help ensure that you give Him glory and honor in addition to asking Him for things.
