Following Jesus Through the First Christmas: 25 Days of Advent TruthsНамуна

When the time was right, Mary and Joseph did something simple—they brought their baby to the temple, just as God’s law commanded.
No applause. No spotlight. Just quiet obedience.
It’s a moment easy to overlook, yet it reminds us that God delights in faithfulness—especially the kind no one else sees.
Mary and Joseph weren’t trying to make history—they were simply doing what God had asked.
And in their everyday obedience, the extraordinary story of redemption was quietly unfolding.
Maybe you’re in a season where you feel unseen or unnoticed. Everyone else seems to be moving faster or stepping into new opportunities, while you’re still waiting. You’re doing the right things, but it feels like no one sees you or the work you are doing.
When God seems quiet, it may just mean something else has gotten louder. So maybe it’s time to drown out the noise—and listen for Him.
Psalm 139 reminds us that nothing escapes His notice: "You have searched me and known me… You are acquainted with all my ways."
God doesn't miss what others overlook. He doesn't forget what feels hidden.
So much of following Jesus happens in the quiet—when we pray unseen, serve without recognition, or obey when no one else is watching.
But here’s what matters: heaven sees.
God sees every act of faith, every moment of trust, every quiet yes.
In a loud world, don’t miss what He’s whispering to you today: I see you and I care for you.
Pray:
God, today I say thank You that even when my life feels quiet or hidden, You never overlook us. You see every act of faith, every moment of surrender, every choice that honors You. Help me to draw close to You—to rest in the truth that Your presence is near. Quiet my heart so I can hear Your voice and trust that You are working, even here, even now. Amen.
Talk About It:
What distractions or “noise” might you need to quiet so you can experience the closeness of His presence?

About this Plan

During a season that often feels busy and stretched thin, we invite you to pause and remember what matters most: following Jesus. The birth of Christ is more than a story we tell in December. It's the beginning of our Savior's life on earth — and the pattern for our own life with Him. Our prayer is that these 25 days prepare your heart to celebrate His birth, deepen your walk with Him today, and stir your hope for His return. We’ve also created a companion worship playlist – search “Following Jesus Through the First Christmas” on Spotify to listen.
