Day 2: Blessed

There I was, fighting for my life, and all I could think was, "Why is this happening to me?" Over time, I eventually learned that both good and bad experiences happen to all of us, even those who serve the Lord wholeheartedly, as we see in the life of Job. This experience reinforced the belief that we don’t dictate when and where all of our challenges come from.

Nevertheless, challenges will come, and while God often allows events to unfold in our lives, we should not always assume that there is a direct connection between our good deeds and the positive or negative events that happen in our lives. Job’s life is proof. Described as someone who was “blameless and upright,” feared God and shunned evil, Job was not forsaken when God permitted Satan to turn Job’s life upside down.

If you are fighting for your life, know that God has not forsaken you. God will ultimately fulfill His purpose for your life. Stay in the fight—with faith. You are on a journey, but this struggle will not be your end.
