A Fire Inside: 30 Day Devotional JourneyНамуна

Day 6: Brokenhearted
Have you ever felt brokenhearted? It can feel overwhelming; those feelings are not easily shaken off. Yet, we can find comfort in the belief that God heals the brokenhearted and binds our wounds.
After my hospital stay, I experienced a mix of distress and gratitude, along with changes in my personal relationships. Even as my body was healing, some relationships became fractured. Some people became estranged, which was an unexpected and painful development. Despite my prayers, the feelings of heartbreak didn’t disappear. However, I learned to trust God's timing, realizing that healing in relationships might take longer than I had hoped. Through counseling, I discovered that we all experience life differently, and being in a relationship with others requires us to accommodate both their feelings and our own—all while trusting in God's timing.
In His time, God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in us. Remember that just as God has written your story, He is also changing the lives of others around you, too.
Moment of Reflection:
Is there a scenario that has left you brokenhearted? Bring it to God. Do not delay, for God is far greater than our temporary circumstances, and He longs to heal us.
