DAY THIRTY — God With Us
Over the past month, we have walked with Israel out of Egypt, through the wilderness, to Mount Sinai, and into God’s holy presence. We’ve witnessed His mighty acts of deliverance, His covenant promises, His holy standards, and His glory revealed in the tabernacle.
But we’ve also seen something just as important: the kind of people God chooses to work through. Moses, Aaron, Miriam, and the Israelites were far from perfect. They struggled with doubt, fear, disobedience, and weakness. And yet, God used them anyway. Their stories remind us that Scripture doesn’t put heroes on pedestals—it reveals a faithful God who works through imperfect people to accomplish His extraordinary purposes.
That is good news for us. If God can use wandering, complaining, often-failing people to display His power and presence, He can use you and me as well. Our lives, like theirs, are not defined by perfection but by God’s grace and faithfulness.
The tabernacle was a sign that God desired to dwell with His people. In Christ, that desire is fulfilled. God now makes His home within us—transforming us, refining us, and empowering us to live as His people in the world.
The story of Exodus and Leviticus points us to this truth: God is with us. And because He is with us, we can walk forward with courage, obedience, and hope—ordinary people held by an extraordinary God.
