GRIT: Intense Fellowship

DAY 10 OF 30

Practicing Prayer

Philippians 4:6-7 - "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (ESV)

Prayer isn't a backup plan—it's a way of life. God invites you to bring everything to Him: fears, needs, hopes, and gratitude. In return, He promises peace that doesn't make sense by the world's standards—peace that guards your heart and mind.

When life feels chaotic, your first instinct might be to fix the problem, talk to someone else, or distract yourself. But God wants you to come to Him first. He's not distant. He listens. He responds. And He moves when His people pray.

Prayer isn't just for crises—it's for connection. It shapes your perspective, softens your heart, and aligns your will with God's. It reminds you that you're not alone and that the weight of the world doesn't rest on your shoulders.

Make prayer your first response, not your last resort. Start the day with it. Pause during the chaos to pray. End the night in conversation with your Father. The more you practice, the more natural it becomes—and the more peace you'll carry.

Let prayer be the rhythm of your life.

Challenge:

Start a short prayer journal today. Write down one thing you're anxious about, one you're thankful for, and one you're asking God to do.

Prayer:

Lord, remind me to bring everything to You in prayer. Quiet my anxious thoughts and fill me with Your peace as I trust in Your presence and power. Amen.
