Praying for Our NeighboursНамуна

What makes your country special? Maybe your country has a king or queen, a national sport, traditional songs, dances, or clothing, or amazing local food. Psalm 22:27 says that all the families of the nations will worship God and later we also read in Revelation that people from every tribe, nation, people, and language were standing before the throne of God. Just imagine this. People from all over the world worshiping God together!
Today, we see more and more people around us from other cultures. Maybe you have people from another culture living nearby you too. How special it will be if they will also worship Jesus in heaven one day!
Discuss:
• Which family can you think of that comes from another country?
• What can you do to welcome them into your country?
• What would you like to learn about their country?
If you cannot think of a family from another country, find out which other cultures live in your country and learn about their culture, food, and religion. Then take time to pray for that country.
Prayer:
Pray for families living in your country who do not know about Jesus. Pray that they will learn about him so that one day, they can worship God with you.

About this Plan

'Praying for our neighbours' is a plan to help children and families pray for their neighbours near and far, and to be a neighbour to those around them. We are so excited that you have chosen this plan to pray with your children and to explore what it means to be a neighbour. We would like to challenge you not only to read this, but to take intentional steps towards application. Before you start, why not invite another family to join you in this journey so you can share your experiences.
