Unleashing Faithfulness

DAY 19 OF 20

Jesus was only hours away from His crucifixion when He spoke these words to His disciples. He explained to these close friends and followers that they were chosen for a purpose—to bear fruit that would last. To bear witness to who He is. While Christ was soon to leave the Earth and save everyone from their sins, Jesus’ disciples were chosen to carry on the work that He had started. They were appointed to carry on His message of hope and salvation to a broken world.

Like Jesus with His disciples, when God initiated the relationship with us, He gave purpose to our lives. All who have been born again through faith have been given the responsibility of advancing the gospel of God. It is a legacy Christians are called to leave; to impact the next generation by sharing God’s Word and love.

You are chosen and appointed by God to create a spiritual legacy. How might God be inviting you to impact others for His purpose?

About this Plan

Unleashing Faithfulness

It's easy to look at characters from the Bible, early church leaders, and even modern-day leaders and assume that the goal is to have an extraordinary faith. Does that mean that faithfulness is marked by the extraordinary? This devotional will look at the words Paul left for his young friend, Timothy. As someone who lived an impressive life of faithfulness himself, Paul outlined how we can do the same in every area of our lives, no matter our circumstances.
