Embracing Failure for Kingdom Growth

If you’re not experiencing failure in some capacity each day, you’re playing too small.

As kingdom business leaders, our mission transcends traditional business success; it involves advancing God's kingdom and transforming lives. The journey isn't always smooth, and failure can feel discouraging—but it's often a stepping stone toward greater growth and impact.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NIV) - "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

Failure isn't a signal to retreat; it's an invitation to lean into God's grace and power. Paul reminds us that our weaknesses are opportunities for God to demonstrate His strength. As leaders, facing setbacks is inevitable, but each obstacle is a chance to trust God more deeply, innovate with courage, and expand our vision beyond comfort.

- What new opportunities could come from a willingness to take bigger risks for the kingdom?

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your abundant grace and strength in moments of failure. Help me to embrace challenges with faith, knowing that each setback can serve Your greater purpose. Empower me to play bigger, courageously advancing Your kingdom in my business endeavors. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Identify one area in your leadership where you're holding back due to fear of failure. Commit this area to God in prayer and take a bold step forward, trusting Him to guide and strengthen you as you break new ground for His glory.
