The Suddenly of the Secret Place

God could release so much more in just a "suddenly"—in just one divine appointment—than you could achieve in years of trying to grow your art and business by yourself. This is our supernatural secret weapon, what some call the "unfair advantage" we have as believers.

But here's what I've noticed: God's "suddenlies" almost always come to those who've been faithful in the secret place. The disciples were together, praying, waiting—not striving, not networking, not pulling business levers. They were simply being obedient to wait on the Lord.

In that secret place of focused, intentional relationship with Him, God releases not only divine creativity and inspiration but moments of crystal-clear understanding about what to do next. One word from God can shift everything. One divine connection can open doors you've been pushing against for years.

I've experienced this personally. After years of trying to make things happen, one moment in God's presence gave me the strategy that transformed everything. But it came through presence, not performance; through waiting, not striving.

Creative Prayer Exercise: Create a "suddenly journal" today. As you spend time with God in your creative space, write down any impressions, ideas, or nudges you sense—no matter how small. Don't judge them; just record them. You might be surprised how many "suddenlies" God is already speaking that you've been too busy to notice.

Prayer: Lord, I position myself for Your "suddenlies." I'm tired of trying to make things happen in my own strength. I choose to prioritize Your presence over my performance. As I wait on You in the secret place, release those divine moments of clarity, those supernatural connections, those God-ideas that can transform everything. Help me to be still enough to hear and brave enough to obey. In Jesus' name, Amen.
