Finding Jesus in the Storm: A Devotional for Those Living With Psychosis and SchizophreniaНамуна

A Blessing for Those in the Storm
Blessed are you who feel lost,
whose thoughts run away,
whose mind will not rest.
Blessed are you in the storm,
when reality shifts,
when nothing holds still.
For you are not forgotten.
You are not alone.
The God who called you by name
still speaks your name even now.
The Christ who stepped into frailty
does not stand far off.
He is already in the boat.
Already in the storm.
Already with you.
And the Spirit wordless, patient,
groans beside you,
carries you,
holds you when you cannot hold yourself.
May you know —
not in certainty,
not in clarity,
but in quiet —
that you are known.
That you are loved.
That you are held.

About this Plan

This seven-day devotional, written by Sanctuary Ambassador John Swinton, is intended to support those of us living through psychosis, schizophrenia, and other altered states of mind. It offers gentle reflections and prayers rooted in Scripture and the lived experience of people who seek Jesus in places of deep confusion and fragmentation. These reflections are intended as invitations towards faith, hope, and the possibility of healing, even when cure seems distant.
