We Are FamilyНамуна

At the end of every week, we'll give you a challenge—something to try that might be outside your regular routine. Each challenge is designed to help you develop one important spiritual habit. This week, it's...
SPEND TIME WITH GOD
There's no formula or one right way to spend time with God. Whether you already know how you like to spend time with God, or you're still trying to understand how to hear God's voice, today's challenge is going to help you experiment with some new ways of connecting with God. Try it and see what you discover about God—and about yourself, too!
Whether faith is something your family talks about a lot or it feels nonexistent in your home, God's love is something present every moment of the day. For this challenge, think about how you can incorporate time with God into each moment with others in your family.
For you, this might be meal time, drive time, or helping get younger siblings into bed. Or it might feel more limited, like those two minutes you and a parent cross paths in the kitchen in the morning. Use these times to talk to God and ask for guidance on how you can share your faith through your words or actions. Invite God to be with you in every moment of time with your family.

About this Plan

Family can be complicated. Some family memories make us laugh, and others… well, we’d rather forget. The truth is, no family is perfect, and even the Bible is full of families that fell short of the ideal—just look at Abraham’s! In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we’ll follow Abraham’s family, who had their own set of imperfections, and see how God was faithful through their best and worst moments. Along the way, we’ll discover that no matter what kind of family we have, there's always room for us in God's family.
