We Are FamilyНамуна

Want an easy-to-remember way to read and study the Bible? No matter which passage of Scripture you're reading, ask yourself these three questions: "What?" "So What?" "Now What?" We'll show you how!
WHAT? What is this passage about?
What does this passage show us about ways siblings or members of the same family can differ?
SO WHAT? Why does it matter?
What kind of tension do you imagine led to Jacob and Esau's rivalry?
How do you see these same kinds of fights play out in families today?
NOW WHAT? What should I do about it?
Have you ever felt like someone took advantage of you because you were distracted or weak? What happened?
How would the outcome of this story be different if the brothers could have trusted one another?
What's something you can do to put a sibling or another member of your family first this week, even if it means putting their happiness or well-being in front of what you want?

About this Plan

Family can be complicated. Some family memories make us laugh, and others… well, we’d rather forget. The truth is, no family is perfect, and even the Bible is full of families that fell short of the ideal—just look at Abraham’s! In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we’ll follow Abraham’s family, who had their own set of imperfections, and see how God was faithful through their best and worst moments. Along the way, we’ll discover that no matter what kind of family we have, there's always room for us in God's family.
