The Coach Approach: A Better Way to Live, Lead, and Leave a LegacyНамуна

POSSIBILITY PURSUER
When it comes to leading others, one of the greatest challenges is helping them believe that something different is possible, especially if we haven't experienced it ourselves. It pushes us beyond our familiar boundaries. Adopting the Coach Approach encourages us to venture into the unknown while leveraging our talents. This is achieved by embracing belief and having the courage to ask any question.
This approach welcomes failure, as we maintain a growth mindset—viewing failure as a stepping stone toward learning and achieving what seems impossible. Belief serves as the gateway to what appears unattainable. Jesus stated in Mark 9:23, “Anything is possible if a person believes.”
CT Studd, a missionary to China and Africa, once said, "God is not looking for nibblers of the possible, but grabbers of the impossible." Unlike many missionaries from humble backgrounds, CT Studd came from wealth. While he understood the possibilities that wealth could provide, he sought to experience the impossible, achievable only through Christ. Belief empowers individuals to reach for the impossible and turn it into reality. Conversely, a lack of belief acts as a barrier. Leaders must maintain a positive outlook, believing in the potential for change.
Leaders should hold two essential beliefs: First, we must believe in the people we are leading. Without this conviction, helping them overcome obstacles becomes nearly impossible. Second, cultivate a “can-do” attitude that transforms the impossible into the achievable. Remain optimistic and persistent when faced with difficulties, always believing that change is within reach.
As we are reminded in 2 Peter 1:3, “His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.” Through His divine power, God will enable us to become inquisitive questioners, legendary listeners, and possibility pursuers. When we commit to living and leading in this better way, we create a lasting legacy—guaranteed!
