One Another: Showing HospitalityНамуна

Day 3: Using Our Gifts to Serve Others
Each of us has been uniquely gifted by God. But those gifts are not for our own benefit, they are to serve and bless others. 1 Peter 4:10 encourages us to "use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms."
Our gifts, whether they be in hospitality, teaching, encouragement, or any other area, are tools for building up the body of Christ and reaching out to the world.
Reflect on the gifts God has entrusted to you. How can you use them to serve those around you? Perhaps it's volunteering with the church or a local community group, mentoring someone, or simply being present for a friend in need. As you steward your gifts, remember that you are participating in God's work, bringing His grace and love to those you encounter.
Going Deeper
Theologically, the use of spiritual gifts is rooted in the doctrine of the body of Christ. Each believer is a member of this body, and the gifts we possess are meant to contribute to its health and growth (1 Corinthians 12:4-7).
Spiritual gifts are manifestations of the Holy Spirit, given for the common good. As we use our gifts, we reflect the diversity and unity of the body, glorifying God and edifying others.
This devotion is based on a sermon by Pastor Aimee Cowan.
