Day 4 – Practicing Authority with Kindness
"Your strength is also shown in your ability to be kind, because it is in kindness that Your love shines."
Kindness becomes a true hallmark of our leadership.
Ephesians 4:32 reminds us of the importance of being kind and merciful to one another. As followers of Christ, we must present ourselves in such a way that kindness naturally flows from us. In moments where we don’t feel respected, we can ask God to give us grace, wisdom, and discernment to assert our voice and come out of situations where we are not valued with our heads held high.
Our leadership example also comes through active listening. When we feel misunderstood, our instinct might be to respond immediately, but true strength lies in listening carefully. Take time to listen to your colleagues and collaborators, showing genuine interest in their opinions and concerns. This not only helps build relationships of trust, but it also allows us to respond in a more thoughtful and calm manner, without being swept away by emotions.
Furthermore, when necessary, it is essential to offer constructive feedback. Communicating our ideas empathetically, always seeking to build up rather than tear down. In this way, our kind attitude does not diminish our value or authority; on the contrary, it strengthens our position as respected leaders. Kindness is not a sign of weakness, but of strength that knows how to command respect without compromising its principles.
Another crucial aspect is the ability to remain calm under pressure. When we find ourselves in stressful situations, it can be difficult not to react impulsively. However, if we manage to keep calm, we will respond with kindness, avoiding unnecessary conflicts, and showing our ability to handle difficulties with balance. This not only reflects our inner strength, but also allows us to act thoughtfully, spreading peace and tranquility around us.
Reflective Question
How has kindness positively influenced the dynamics in your work experiences?
Prayer
Lord, help me to manifest my authority through acts of kindness and understanding, so that every gesture I make may reflect Your love. Give me the strength to raise my voice when necessary, without ever losing the sweetness that defines me. Amen.

About this Plan

Every woman of faith is called to represent Christ, even in the spheres of business in which she occupies. The journey is not always easy, but we can learn to balance boldness with kindness: embracing the power we have been given without compromising our identity in Christ.
