Be Careful with Your Heart
Hi #coffeewithsam family,
To close our 7 Days Devotion, we will discuss the most crucial aspect of human life : the heart. Christianity is not just about external changes, but more importantly about heart transformation.
Did you know that God cares deeply about what is within us? Ultimately, it is our inner self that knows whether we do everything with sincerity and love. What are our heart's motivations? What is the true purpose behind all that we do?
That's why Proverbs 4:23 in various versions says :
- TSI : "Guard your heart with vigilance, for your heart determines all your life's choices."
- FAYH : "Above all else, guard your heart because your heart influences everything in your life."
- KJV : "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it [are] the issues of life."
So, if there are problems that never seem to resolve, there is a heart issue that needs to be addressed first. If your life seems unchanged, there is a character that needs to be transformed first. If you feel like a failure despite trying various ways, it means there is a perspective that needs to be renewed first.
What is inside our lives is far more important in God's eyes to be worked on, shaped, and processed first.
So let us build, pay attention to, guard, and nurture what is inside our lives according to and in alignment with His Word. A fresh start from a fresh heart.
