Numbers (Book 4/66) – A Book of the Law
Numbers records the Israelites' journey from Mount Sinai to the Promised Land, including their rebellion and God's faithfulness by guiding and providing for them. The book of Numbers also includes the responsibility given to the Israelites to create the Tabernacle, the first physical place of worship for the Lord. It underscores the importance of faith and obedience and the consequences of disobedience. The bronze serpent lifted in the wilderness prefigures Jesus being lifted on the cross for our salvation.
