Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneНамуна

This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5).
Are you walking in God's light?
John writes about the importance of remaining in God's light. The reminder is necessary since there were false teachers who were expelled from the church having propagated bad doctrine and were saying one thing and practicing another (1 John 2:19). This group is exposed by the words "if we say" (1 John 1:6, 8, 10). Our author teaches us about God's light by using a positive and negative statement. "God is light," conveys that the Lord is absolutely holy. Then he reveals the same truth by writing "and in Him is no darkness at all." The Father perpetually remains without moral flaw or contamination. When we abide in His light, "we have fellowship with one another" (1 John 1:7).
Employment Point: Enjoy fellowship with God and believers by walking in the light.
