Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneНамуна

The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son (Ezekiel 18.20).
What will you leave for the next generation?
All of us are either a good or bad example. God holds accountable sinners and blesses those who choose the path of righteousness. Ezekiel finishes Ezekiel 18:20 as follows: "The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself." The Lord takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezekiel 18:23), and desires that sinners turn from their trespasses and walk with God. Ezekiel calls disobedient Israelites on behalf of God to amend their ways. He proclaims, "Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin" (Ezekiel 18:30). Like the Thessalonians, God longs for all people to repent and exemplify godliness to others (1 Thessalonians 1:6-10).
Employment Point: Turn to God and leave a godly legacy.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions helps readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word.
