Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneНамуна

So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one (Ezekiel 22:30).
Are you standing in the gap for others?
God set His gaze upon Sodom, Gomorrah, and the surrounding cities. The wickedness of the people had to be judged. Yet Lot lived in Sodom. Thankfully he had Abraham to intercede for him (Genesis 18:22-33), which led to his deliverance (2 Peter 2:7). The Lord's eyes scan the globe looking for people of faith. We learn from 2 Chronicles 16:9, "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him." Passionate prayer avails God's power. He uses average people with great faith like Elijah to work wonders (James 5:17-18).
Employment Point: Stand in the gap for others with righteous lining and fervent prayer.
