Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneНамуна

"You are my witnesses," says the LORD, "and My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He" (Isaiah 43:10).
Have you considered the eternal nature of the Father and the Son?
The expression "I am He" used in Isaiah 43:10 speaks of deity. It similarly appears in Isaiah 41:4. There Isaiah writes, "I, the LORD, am the first; and with the last I am He." Interestingly, both are translated by a Greek expression in the Septuagint (LXX) that Jesus often uses of Himself. Seven times Jesus chooses these two Greek words as recorded by John to connect His eternality with that of the Father (John 6:35; 8:12; 10:7, 11; 11:25; 14:6; 15:1). On account of the Father and Son being eternally God, Jesus could state, "I and My Father are one" (John 10:30).
Employment Point: Believe that both God the Father and God the Son have existed forever and give them their rightly preeminence.
