Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneНамуна

But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed (Galatians 1:8).
Are you proclaiming the true gospel?
Infiltrators influence the Galatian saints. These Judaizers are false teachers who mix the Law with grace, which ruins the message of grace. Paul continually marvels, which is the meaning of the present tense verb “marvel” in Galatians 1:6, “that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel.” The gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, and that anyone who places faith in His finished work is saved. Strongly Paul declares that an individual trumpeting a false message is “accursed,” which means dedicated to destruction. To show the gravity of the situation Paul repeats the condemnation upon the purveyors of heresy (Galatians 1:9).
Employment Point: Don’t corrupt the gospel of grace by adding works.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions helps readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word.
