God's Redemption Story (The Prophets)Намуна

Hosea – Day 5
God sent the prophets to Israel to warn the people that their sins had consequences. Much of what the prophets spoke and wrote was vivid descriptions of harsh punishments to come if the people didn’t change their ways. But Israel’s active sin and intentional departure from God make Hosea 14 surprising. The entire chapter talks about God’s great love for His people and how He planned to heal and restore them.
In the same way, God knew long ago that we would be sinful people in need of a savior, and He had a plan for our healing and restoration. We don’t have to fix ourselves or clean ourselves up before we can come to God. Romans 5:8 says, “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” The work is already done, all we have to do is accept God’s love and salvation.
