Twenty Five Days of Christmas DevotionsНамуна

A look at the creation account in the Bible gives us an understanding of every living being’s habitat. God commanded the waters to bring forth the sea creatures and so the waters became the habitat of the fishes. If you take a fish out of water, it will die. God commanded the land to bring forth animals and so the land became the habitat of animals. If you take animals out of their habitat, they will die.
But when God created mankind, He didn’t give the commandment to the waters or the land. He took it upon himself. So, God became the habitat of man. If mankind is taken away from God, they will surely die. Hence, fallen mankind separated from God by their sins is a matter of grave concern, for the result is eternal damnation. Jesus came into this world to break down the separating barrier of sin, and to restore us to God - our habitat. Through Him, you can experience the fullness of life you were created for.
