How to Learn & Grow Together: Encouragement for the Weary Homeschool MotherНамуна

Stop Comparing!
When social media is used well, it’s a fun place for connection and inspiration; yet comparison has crept in through the device we hold in our hand, and we’re finding ourselves having to rewire our hearts.
We scroll past pretty, perfect, and staged realities that somehow our soul longs for. Comparison disillusions us and leads to discontentment. This perspective can be destructive, resulting in us questioning the life God has graced us with.
Whose expectations are you trying to live up to? God knows you, loves you, accepts you, and celebrates you. This is eternally true no matter what you’re wearing, what curriculum you’re using, what book you’re reading, or what you’ve purchased this week. Your God-given value far outweighs the voices telling you that you don’t know enough, aren’t smart enough, or even that you are not seen.
It’s time to start living according to God’s truth. There’s a place for beauty and inspiration - God set that in motion through creation. We must ask ourselves, “Does scrolling online produce joy and peace in our lives and homeschools?”
Encouragement
Check the voices and images you allow into your life. Today, thank God for the life He has given you - His good, perfect and pleasing picture.
