Identity in Christ: A 40 Day JourneyНамуна

Part 4: Truths about my purpose
Day 32: I have purpose in waiting
Anticipation makes life exciting and adds urgency to what we do. The Bible encourages us to fully set our hope on the promise of Jesus’ return. Waiting gives us purpose and focus, reminding us that we are living for our eternal dwelling. God has asked us to be intentional in our waiting and wants to prepare us for Christ’s return through the Holy Spirit.
Let's Pray
Jesus, thank You for Your promise that You are coming back soon. Although I don’t know when, I thank You that Your timing is perfect. Thank You for telling me to be ready for You. Lord, I’m sorry for not guarding my heart and not keeping my lamp filled with oil. Please forgive me for being careless in waiting for You to come back. I choose to believe that You want to find me full of faith when You come back. I receive this as my purpose. I will guard my heart and wait in You. Amen.
About this Plan

Knowing our identity in Christ - knowing who He says we are to Him - is one of the most powerful ways to enable ourselves to draw closer to God. Knowing our true identity is part of our roadmap to sanctification. We realise how free we truly are and how much He wants to lavish His love on us and fill our lives with purpose and meaning.
