Identity in Christ: A 40 Day JourneyНамуна

Part 2: Foundational Truths
Day 13: I am not condemned
Sometimes it’s painful to dwell upon our failings. We can easily feel guilty and find it difficult to forgive ourselves when we know we’ve hurt God and others. We easily absorb guilt from other people or our conscience. The truth is, our grieved consciences lead us to repentance - after we have repented and received forgiveness, there is no more condemnation! Our sins are completely forgiven. Let’s think about ourselves the way God thinks about us!
Let's Pray
Thank You, Jesus, that Your voice is the only one that matters. Your voice, the authority of heaven that called stars to birth, says that I am not condemned. Thank You for saying that You did not come to judge and condemn the world but to bring salvation. I choose Your salvation over the words of condemnation that have been spoken over me in the past. I choose to trust You instead. From this day onward, any voice that says I am condemned is lying. This is because I do not choose my ‘flesh’ – my own thoughts and feelings, my own doubts – over Your living word and Your finished work on the cross. Amen.

About this Plan

Knowing our identity in Christ - knowing who He says we are to Him - is one of the most powerful ways to enable ourselves to draw closer to God. Knowing our true identity is part of our roadmap to sanctification. We realise how free we truly are and how much He wants to lavish His love on us and fill our lives with purpose and meaning.
