Psalms Streak: A Daily Devotional in the PsalmsНамуна

Tell Everyone Everywhere
Good news travels fast! How quick we are to tell our friends and family members when something good happens to us: that exam you passed with flying colours, the new pet that just joined your family, the latest win by your favourite sports team. When we’re excited about something, everybody has to know about it! This Psalm reminds us that we need to tell the people around us just how good God really is. The overflow of a worshipful heart is sharing with others.
Verse 1 starts with David praising God will all his heart, and the natural response is to tell everybody else all about it. Later, he goes on to command the readers to proclaim among the nations what God has done (v. 11). Maybe you’re worried about what people will think of you if you start talking about your faith, but it is so important for everyone to know about the Most High God. He is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble, the Lord that has never forsaken those who seek Him. So go, tell everyone everywhere!
GO DEEP: Take some time today to recall all of the good things that God has done in your life and in the lives of the people around you. Write them down! Ask the Lord to give you the courage and boldness to share these things with someone this week.
BE BOLD: Who needs to hear this? Who could you share it with?
