Psalms Streak: A Daily Devotional in the PsalmsНамуна

The Theme of Our Song
Three more eight-verse sections from the biggest Bible fan that ever lived! Each section tells a different challenging story from life, but with the same prayer - “God's Word is the way through, help me obey it”. As you read through today's sections, try to imagine what the writer is facing - can you relate to the feelings? Have you ever been through anything similar?
GO DEEP: In verse 54, the writer tells us that God's Word is the theme of His song. What is the theme of your song? (Or, in other words, what words and thoughts and feelings are running through your heart and mind every day?) How can you make God's words the theme of your song? (Or, in other words, how can we make God's words fill our heart and mind every day?). Look through today's second section for more insight and answers to this question.
Today's third section (verses 65-72) uses the word “good” five times! In verse 68, it is used twice - “God is good and what He does is good!” This verse should be theme of our song today. Write it down somewhere you will see it all day!
BE BOLD: Who needs to hear this? Who could you share it with?
