Psalms Streak: A Daily Devotional in the PsalmsНамуна

Anchored
What image runs through your mind when you think of steadfast? A ship securely anchored? A driving storm beating against an unshakeable house? Rolling waves pounding a shoreline? David describes his heart as being steadfast - anchored, secure, unwavering. Are there areas of your heart that feel weak? Can you be steadfast when the people around you don’t approve of you? Can you be steadfast when tomorrow is so uncertain? Can you be steadfast in the face of fear? Failure? Disappointment? Pain? In Psalm 108 David sheds some light on the things that keep us steadfast - let’s see what we can learn:
GO DEEP: Vs 1-3: The first key to being steadfast is choosing to praise our God! But - to what level does David worship? (How much of his soul is worshipping? What gets woken by his praise?! How many people hear his worship?!)
Vs 4: Declaring truth about our God is the second key to a steadfast heart! What does David declare in vs 4?
Vs 12: The final key to a steadfast heart - who does David call to for help and victory? Who does David NOT count on for help?
BE BOLD: Who needs to hear this? Who could you share it with?
